There have been reports which suggest that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) sale of registration form for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will officially start in January 2019 and no longer in December 2018.
The boss of the Media and Information of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Fabian Benjamin stated that the sale of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Form will commence in January 2019 because of the Federal Government’s reduction in the price of the JAMB registration fee which will take effect from January 2019.
He also debunked rumors that the sale of the registration forms for the UTME has commenced saying that all are fake and people should be careful and distance away from people who are looking to defraud you of your money.
Recall that NIGERIA NEWS reported that the Federal Government under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari reduced the cost of the JAMB registration fee for 2019 UTME from N5,000 to N3,500.
In addition, when the sale of the JAMB form commences in January 2019, the registration period would only be available for six weeks to allow people register when they so wish to. Also, according to Fabian Benjamin stated that JAMB as a board and body would do everything possible to comply with the new directive in which the Federal Government laid down for smooth running of peace in the country.
The basic reason why the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board extended the registration date for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination was because of the reduction of the price of the registration fee which the Federal Government laid down in recent weeks which NIGERIA NEWS reported.
Every candidate who wishes to register for the 2019 UTME should endeavor to be patient until next month which will be January 2019 so as to be on the safe side because JAMB registration is yet to commence.
